Masonic services, under the auspices of Northwest Lodge Number 358 of Tarkio, will be held Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home, where the family will later receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Harold Jay Petznick, son of Bruno and Elsie (McKee) Petznick, was born December 14, 1912, in Afton, Iowa. He passed away November 15, 1992, at the Community Hospital in Fairfax, Missouri, at the age of 79 years.
In his early years he attended the Creston, Iowa, schools and later graduated from Creston High School. During the early 40's he worked for the John Deere Company and farmed.
In December of 1946 he was united in marriage to Mary Louise Pine in Nashua, Iowa. They made their home and farmed in the Creston community. During 1964 he bagan work as a carpenter and owned and operated a truck for moving mobile homes. He later moved to the Tarkio, Missouri, area.
On July 11, 1972, he was united in marriage to Pearl Williams in St. Joseph, Missouri. They made their home in Tarkio. Through the years he managed the Williams Farms. In 1975 they became interested in real estate and have accumulated several rental properties through the area. Pearl passed away March 4 of this year.
Harold was a former member of the Tarkio City Council and had served on the board of the Tarkio Water Company. He had attended the Tarkio United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Northwest Lodge Number 358 A.F. & A.M. of Tarkio; the Moila Temple Shrine and the Scottish Rite, both of St. Joseph, Missouri; and the Order of the Elks of Falls City, Nebraska.
He is survived by two sons, Hal J. Petznick and daughter-in-law, Carol, of Belton, Missouri, and Thomas P. Petnzick and daughter-in-law, Diane of Lexington, Kentucky; one stepson, Harvey Williams, Jr., of Maryville, Missouri; one stepdaughter, Mrs. John (Margery) Goodall of Shenandoah, Iowa; one brother, Kenneth Petznick of Creston; one sister, Erna Petznick of Fair Play, Missouri; four grandchildren, Heather, Pete, Bradley and Jamie;, seven stepgrandchildren; and thirteen step-great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife, Pearl, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harley Petznick.
