Notes for Bartholomew H. McKee
Bartholomew McKee left his home in Virginia on March 29, 1855, and came to Wheeling where he took the route by way of the Ohio, Mississippi, and Illinois Rivers to Peoria, Illinois. There he went into the country and settled a little south of Princeville, Illinois. He was a blacksmith by trade, but on coming west, he first rented and then bought a farm on section 7 in Radnor Township. He lived the remainder of his life there.[Thomas Pine Petznick.FTW]
