Settlements in Ohio to 1868 by Walker..p. 522--William Bagley was a trustee of Trimble Twp. in 1827. p. 520--William Bagley's house was used for the first election.

After building log cabins in the woods, William and his father Simeon, platted the town of West Liberty, Muscatine Co., IA which is now a thriving community.

This brother of Simeon Arvin Bagley laid out the town of West Liberty, IA as
in History of Muscatine Co. Mary Ann's marr. was the first in this town.
