Editor and Publisher of Corning, IA, Adams County Union Newspaper 1882; Teacher in Ames, IA to 1881; Elected State Printer in 1893; Co-founder of Los Angeles College of Osteopath; Manager of Still College of Osteopathy, Des Moines, IA in 1903; Resided at nth St. & Euclid Ave. in Upland; Bought the Pasadena Glen Tract and Vosburg Valencia Grove in 1907 still res there in 1931. President of the Sierra Madre-Lamanda Exchange Citrus Co., and V-Pres. of the Calif. Orange ByProducts Assn. at Ontario; He also served as Pres. of Iowa Assn. of So. Calif., and other organizations. Both he and Mrs. Shaw were graduates of Iowa State College, Ames, IA in 1876; He retired in 1916 when the Osteopathy College was by CA State Osteopathic Assn.
