On Tuesday of this week occured the death of Mr. Harry Bagley, one of the oldest residents of Mechanicsville. He had been in failing health ever since Mrs. Bagley's death which occured early in the fall. For a time he had seemed better to his children, who were watching him, when almost without warning, the end came. Three sons, Charles, Alonzo and Frank and one daughter, Mrs. Fairchild, remain. Interment was in Rose Hills Cemetery, Thursday afternoon. Also in the same newspaper column: Mr. Sam Gilliand of Mt. Vernon, attended the funeral of Mr. Bagley Thursday afternoon. Mr. Gilliand was a former resident of this place. Mrs. Iva Barse came from Chicago to attend the funeral of her grandfather. Mrs. Elsie Bagley of Bennett went home Wednesday.
