On February 16th, 2005, my supplemental application for membership to the Sons of the American Revolution was accepted, thus confirming involvement in the Revolution on both sides of my family.  Above is the notification and the membership certificate I received from that organization.   Zebulon Hallock was my 4th great-grandfather.

Hallock was the son of Julia Van Tuyl, Daniel Van Tuyl's sister.

My great-grand aunt, Helen E. Hallock was the daughter of Daniel Van Tuyl Hallock and Mary Alice Rider Hallock.  See her 1920 census record below with her brother, Myron Scott Hallock.

Myron Scott Hallock - b: 1863, New York  d: 1938 Unknown
Scott Hallock circa 1866 - click for larger viewCDV of Scott Hallock circa 1866, back of photo - click for larger viewMy great-grand uncle, Myron Scott Hallock was the son of Daniel Van Tuyl Hallock and Mary Alice Rider Hallock.   I found this picture on eBay of all places, when a very kind person made me aware of its existence.   This person had seen my web site and knew that this picture could be someone in my family.   It is of Uncle Scott taken in a military-style uniform circa 1866.   The handwriting on the back of the photo looks very similar to that found in the Pine Family Bible.

Jennie F. Hallock - b: July 1867, New York  d: Aft. 1928, New York
My great-grand aunt, Jennie F. Hallock was the daughter of Daniel Van Tuyl Hallock and Mary Alice Rider Hallock.   My mother,  Mary Louise Pine Petznick, recalls visiting aunt Jennie on her farm in 1928, where she raised peacocks.

Southold Long Island 1640 to 1882
